Plat pages caught up

It’s been a while, but I added four new pages to get caught up on approved Plats by the Grove City Development department. There are now pages for Phase 5B, Phase 7, Phase 11, and Sub Area H Phase 4. I am not sure when Phase 8 and 9 will be started, but I will keep a lookout for those items.

Spring 2025 Paper Shredding

Grove City will be organizing a Paper Shredding Day on Saturday May 3, 2025 from 8AM to 1PM. The event will take place at the Kingston Center which is at 3226 Kingston Ave.

Grove City, Jackson Township, and Urbancrest residents only.
No business shredding accepted.
Limit of five (5) banker boxes or trash bags per car.
Residents must retain their boxes or bags after emptying paper in provided shredding bins.

The event is sponsored and supported by Keep Grove City Beautiful and Ohio Mobile Shredding. For more information check out the Grove City Website. If you are doing some fall cleanup don’t forget that Grove City has an electronics recycling drop-off year round.

Third Annual Community Garage Sale

The Third Annual Farmstead community garage sale will be held on Saturday May 18th, 2024 from 8AM – 3PM. Each year we have an amazing turnout, both from customers and people participating. If you would like to participate, please sign-up using this 2024 Interest Form. The sign-up deadline is April 26th, 2024. Phase 10 Plat is ready

The last time I updated, there were only six phases and now we are at ten. It looks like they skipped ahead a few phases to get some other streets built out. There has been a lot of activity going on over the summer and a lot of big equipment making new streets. We are all looking forward to Hawthorne Parkway being connected to the neighboring neighborhood and access to Buckeye Parkway. Take a look at the new page now!

Phase 6 Plat has dropped

There has not been a lot of new development activity since Phase 5A a year ago. But, the Phase 6 application was just sent in last week. We saw the sign out while riding our new bikes. This will extend Hawthorne Parkway a bit out to Sweet Basil Lane. It does not complete the throughway, but it is a first significant extension since the development started. The construction for Phase 5A has yet to start, so they are at least a year behind from application to construction. Looking forward to the new work though.

I will be working on some new resources for events coming up in the spring and summer. So stay tuned for that.

Fall 2022 Leaf Collection

The city of Grove City is starting their residential leaf collection this week. They have broken the city up into four areas with each having two separate collection weeks from October 17th through December 16th. The main thing to remember is to rake the leaves into the tree lawn and not into the street. Make sure not to include sticks and rocks as these can damage equipment. Residents must retain their boxes or bags after emptying paper in provided shredding bins.

New Pages Added

The construction has been going along nicely at the Farmstead and the new phases are starting to pick up as Phase 2 is just about fully constructed. There also have been a small change to Phase 5 and it has been split into two phases to be considered. I am leaving the Phase 5 page as is for now to serve as a historical record, but will eventually remove it from the links to reduce the clutter. But without further ado, here are the new pages added tonight!

I am also thinking of a few other ideas to act as a good resource to existing and potential residents of the Farmstead. I hope to get those up this spring.
